The concept for the Red Bull Ragnarok event stems from a Norse myth about a battle where only the strongest survive. For this snowkite event, a course was set to test the abilities and endurance of some of the top snowkiters in the world. The course was designed to be so difficult that most riders would drop out before the end, or at least be eliminated as the top riders took the lead.
