Denver Gets in the Game
Drift Snowkite Magazine founder and editor, James Brown, took advantage of the upslope storm hammering the Denver area for a first snowkite session of the season. Although the boys in Montana and Wyoming have been getting in rides for some weeks now, it looks like Colorado can now join in on the fun. read more

While much of the West is abnormally dry and with low snowpack, the Northeast has seen some great early season snow. Reports out of Tug Hill of both wind and snow are leaving us Westerners feeling left out of the fun! Check out this video by Bill Myers featuring Rider Matt Domanowski.

Snowkite Summit: The Show Must Go On
Although storms over the holiday weekend dumped good quantities of snow in Colorado, the high pressure sitting over Utah prevented any significant snowfall at Skyline. There was about a foot of snow just past Heart lake and it made for some decent kiting. The wind felt quite stable at 5-15mph despite the storm coming in from the North. Flattops first day of the season

Skyline’s season has started on November 5th! 20 inches of fresh snow has local snowkiters giggling with happiness. Conditions are still pretty ruff with rocks and sagebrush to avoid, but it is a great start with more snow on the way Saturday. Billy Bordy, Heather and Brian all tested out the new Twisted Snowkiteboard, while other just had fun cruising around.
